Site Update, Welcome New Readers!

Happy Friday everyone.

First off, for those of you who are first-time visitors, Welcome to The Cluttered Desk! This is where I share updates on my own experiences in writing, news that I find relevant to the things I write, book reviews and recommendations, and other related content. There’s also the occasional post that’s unrelated to any of that, but those are few and far between.

For those of you who are not new here, You’ve probably noticed some recent changes. I can explain:

Email Subscription Issue Fixed:

The feature that allows readers to subscribe to the mailing list for updates and notifications is fixed. It was down for an unknown amount of time and only recently came to my attention. If you’ve tried to subscribe before and were not able to, the site will allow you to do it now.

New Theme:

In order to fix the subscriber problem, I changed the appearance of the site. I was spending a whole lot of time in the code trying to fix the compatibility issue. I am not, and never will be a great programmer, so instead The Cluttered Desk got a makeover. I liked the old theme and I am a little sad to see it go, but I like this one too.

Bear in mind that all of the older posts were formatted around a different theme, and therefore might look weird if you view them now. I’m not going to waste time updating them, so be warned.

Moving forward, I don’t anticipate any major changes in the appearance of the site, so you can go ahead and get attached to this look. I do have an “About Me” page in the works as well, which will probably be up at some point next week.
