Query Update
Today, I once again put myself though the agony of sending out agent queries. Having already been rejected, hitting the send button does get a little easier, but it’s still one of the hardest challenges that this novel has introduced me to. I don’t know of a more effective way of making your work suddenly seem like it has no business going out into the world. However, I know most of that is just self-doubt, so off it goes.
As a much needed distraction, I baked cookies afterward. Here’s to several more weeks of eagerly awaiting responses. (Raises glass halfheartedly)
Anyway, here’s some writing music that captures the mood. It’s been a long day of putting query materials together, and all of the stress that comes with that. It’s back to my actual job tomorrow.
